Should I Become a Sales Manager or Remain a Sales Rep?

The only similarity between the words “sales rep” and “sales manager” is the word SALES.

As sales reps we’re selfish with our time because we’re focused on what’s our own. Our pipeline, our quota, and our commission.

Most everything we do is done on our own. And for good reason.

Sales managers are not selfish with their time.

They can’t close their office door. They can’t always work remotely. They have to be accessible.

They hit their sales targets through their reps, not alone.

A sales manager doesn’t have to be the ROCK STAR. They have to be the AGENT of rock stars.

Waste no time thinking about what a sales manager should be…

Just be one.
